What is Steak and Jake?
Steak and Jake is a new type of puzzle platformer, where you control Jake the color-changing bird to protect his clumsy friend Steak as they try to deliver milk to their customers. Using the lower puzzle area, Jake can make matches to change color, and can then interact with objects and enemies along their path.

How do I make matches and change color?
Click matches of three or more bubbles in the lower puzzle area. After clicking a match, Jake will become this color! If you can't find a match of the color you need, clear out other matches so new color bubbles will take their place.

How do I interact with objects and enemies on the path?
After Jake changes color, he can click on objects and enemies that are the same color.  After clicking on an object, that color is used up, and Jake needs to make a new match to change colors again.  Most objects can be clicked to interact, while others need to be pulled or dragged, and some need Steak to jump into them.

How do I control Steak?
Steak walks along slowly with the milk, but Jake can click and pull Steak upwards to jump. Sometimes you need to jump to reach a higher platform, to bump into a cow-print block, or to jump onto a springboard. Jake can also pull Steak downwards to drop through some platforms.

How do I use a speed boost?
Most levels have a “Boost” speedometer next to the puzzle area. The button on the speedometer changes color, so you first need to make a match for Jake to become that color. Click and HOLD on the speedometer button to boost! You can keep holding down the boost until it runs out, and if you make a match of a lot of bubbles, you’ll be able to boost longer.

How do I use a wildcard?
If you're having trouble finding a match in the puzzle, click one of the Wildcard icons. Jake can now click objects of any color!
After you use a wild card, its meter will slowly refill before you can use it again.

How do I beat a level?
Each trail ends with a barn and a customer who is waiting for milk. When Steak reaches the customer and delivers the milk, the level is complete! Steak will then enter an outhouse to make more milk and continue to the next trail.

Standard Level
A standard level has Steak and Jake working to reach the customer at the end, while interacting with objects and enemies on the path.

Challenge Level
Every so often, Steak and Jake will reach a Challenge trail which changes what they do on their way to the customer at the end. Some challenges need you to guide a troop of Cookie Scouts to the barn along with Steak, while others will have you defusing a timer bomb or stopping milk bandits.

Milk Race
The Cocoa Cow who ran you off the road is trying to steal your customers! On some trails, you’ll be racing against Cocoa to reach the barn before he delivers his chocolate milk instead. The Cocoa Bird can’t change color, but he fills blocks with chocolate for his partner (or you!) to walk on.

Balloon Break
Some trails will have balloons floating up along the path. Each balloon has a colored ring on the end of its string, which Jake can click and drag towards Steak to collect. The more balloons you have at the end of the trail, the better score you’ll earn.

Boss Trail
On these trails, the baddies that live in each area will send out a boss in a helicopter – which is painted suspiciously in a Cocoa Cow pattern – to stop you from delivering your milk. When it shoots floating mines at you, toss them back at the helicopter to take it down.

Hat Shop
Steak will collect Cow Cash along each trail, which can be used to buy new hats for Steak in the Hat Shop. At the end of each trail, you can visit the Hat Shop and choose new hats. If you want to change the hat you’re wearing, you can view and equip your hats in the main menu while playing.
